300... touchdown!!!

this is the 300th post of the year for me... yea, n its gonna be a good post... i think... so as u noe, i've been feeling rather solemn n oso happy bout how this X'mas is going... everything seems fine... just got tht feeling... anyways, so over the last few days, apart from feeling all solemn n all, there's been some good fun too... i finally got to meet my bro's gf, Joanna... yea, its made public alredy lah, in a way... almost every noes about it... so, think its safe to blog alredy...

yup, her name's Joanna, really really sweet girl... perfetto for my bro lah, seriously... easy to talk to oso... we all blend in so easily, like as tho we're 1 family alredy... well, if all do go well, tht mite be the case... my bro alredy met her family n relatives n gonna meet somore relatives 2morrow when they both travel to Penang... she alredy saw the wild side of my family n cousins... haihyo, over the weekend we met up with our cousins 3 times, all 3 times we make damn hell alot of noise lor... laughing n laughing n laughing... will get to tht later... anyways, then my parents seem very fond of her as well, so thts good... all's well... of course, everything must come to an end, 2nite was the last nite we got to see her bcos after Penang she's going back Kuantan n after tht fly back to Newcastle... boohoo... but the last few days have been good...

hahaa, 1 of her "younger brother" goes to the same assembly as i do when i'm in Malaysia... we both go to USJ4... now i say younger brother with invert'd commas bcos they're not blood siblings but she's like a daughter to the parents lah, u noe... so boleh anggap as sister lah... he n his other bro calls her "jie" ma... so then he remind'd me, tht if they do get married, him n i will be "related"... wahhh, i damn cha tou lor... didnt see it tht way at all... hahaha, but its all good... i like tht... we're all good frens... speaking of frens, i really do believe i've gotten closer to some of those back here in USJ4... i noe i mention'd this in the previous post but u noe, just happy to say it out aloud u noe... like the other day, on X'mas Eve, we all went for futsal n it was so fun lah... then tht nite we had dinner at the hall n oso we had so much fun lah... then the following afternoon, all of us, including others from other assembly in PJ n KK went for lunch... wahhh, at tht point, i really felt as tho i was part of something good u noe... n it is good... wat i'm trying to say is, usually i see my cousins n their church frens chilling n hanging out, while last time i was so anti my church fren...

whenever they invite me, i often choose to say no... but this time, i thought, hey, last time, whenever i join them, i enjoy'd myself... so i decided i'd say yes to them more often... i was rite lah, seriously, its damn fun to chill with them... a breath of fresh air u noe... not tht i think my other frens outside r all boring n stale... n who noe lah, mayB my future gf could be 1 of them... eh eh eh eh... of course, tht'd be kinda hard considering a fair few of them r 4-5 years my junior while the others who r same age as me or older r taken... - -' but hey, u nvr noe...


anyways, other than tht, i've oso been spending quite some time with my cousins... yea, since the wedding, i've met up with them quite often... go for breakfast, lunch, dinner, everything lah... the other day we had chi yuk fan lah... n we're gonna go Seremban soon oso for lunch... beef noodles lunch... yehhh... spending time with them, as i've mention'd countless times, is super fun lah... everytime we meet, we bring up old stories, we bring up newer stories, n we go thru new incidents too, incidents which have become fun memories for the future dinners... something new always comes up n thts the best thing about it... haih, i really feel damn glad tht i've got a close bunch of cousins lah... i mean, considering tht all of them r alredy kinda grown-up u noe... i've got 6 cousins from my dad's side but only 3 of them (they live in Cheras) r super close to me... n all 3 of them alredy got their own counterparts n own work life... 1 even got married 2 weeks ago... will blog bout tht as soon as the pics arrive... see, they're all so busy but each time we have holidays, we make alot of effort to meet up as much as possible lor... we go roadtrips, vacations, each other's house... everything...

wat makes me appreciate them more is tht i noe tht in the near future it'll be so so hard to keep in touch... just look at my father n his cousins... he used to live with a few of them n while they still talk alot when they meet up, they rarely meet up... thts y i appreciate each moment i get to spend with my cousins... i really hope nxt time in the future we all can remain as close as ever lor, then our kids can have a close set of cousins (twice removed?) too... i think wat my grandparents did for us, all the cousins, back when we were young was damn good... every weekend with spend the Saturdays at my grandparents place n have fun... well, i always got bullied lah, if not i wouldnt even have the nickname "Bom"... but its all good lah... if they were to call me Thomas i'd prolly give them the wth look man... "dude, did u just call me Thomas? CALL ME BOM LAH!!!"... haih...

X'mas 2009...

so X'mas is here alredy... 2day was the 1st day n of course every1 only remembers the 1st nite... i'm sure many of u don realize tht X'mas runs for 12 days rite???... actually X'mas is more than wat the general society understands it to be lah... not gonna delve into it 2nite... anyways... for some reason or another, i've been pretty emotional this X'mas... i think its bcos this time ard, since i came back from Melbourne, i made it a point to attend as many church meetings as i can... last time i only pay attention to the morning meeting n sunday skool on Sundays... i don go for the gospel meetings n ministries as often as i shouldve...

this time, i made it a point... i told myself, this is not a good testimony... as a christian i should be attending all these meetings... n tht i did... thts y u guys keep hearing the same reason from me, "church meeting"... hehehe... n bcos of this, i think i'm a lot closer to the members i mix ard with when i'm back here... in fact, i think i've made more as well, others from other assemblies too... anyways, not 4getting, of course, of everything tht i've been learning... its been so eye-opening man... the stuff they preach n minister... each time i go its like a smack on the face lor... hmmm, i havent been doing a very good job... anyways, so for starters, i've stood up a few times alredy to say prayers during the meetings, something i nvr did b4 since i got baptised... now the nxt step is take 1 of the meetings, the gospel meetings... yup, its gonna be a double-Yeoh-whammy... its gonna be me n my bro this Sunday nite... awesome, cant wait... havent really prepared myself yet actually... yikes...



anyways, so back to learning... i've been learning n gaining so much over the last 5-6 weeks lor... anything n everything Jesus Christ n God... so much so tht last nite, we had a X'mas Eve dinner n so we sang some of the usual carols lah...i start'd to get goosebumps n a tingling feeling in my heart when we start'd to sing O Holy Night... especially when we sang the chorus tht starts with "fall down on your knees then i start'd to tear when we sang Silent Night lor... behh tahan alredy then... then the finishing touch was The First Noel... wahhh emo-ness... i mean, seriously, if u take a look at the lyrics rite... wow, its so powerful... each n every word is tru to the Bible man... Jesus came down-born in a manger-died on the cross to save mankind... it just hit me so hard man... i tahan so hard to keep my tears in lor... hahaha...



n to prove its not just last nite, earlier this afternoon i watch'd Fred Claus n Silent Night was play'd, i tear again... lucky my dad cannot see only... emo... but actually, if there's 1 song tht gets me everytime its sung is Amazing Grace... tht song... EVERYTIME... not bcos its usually sung in funerals... its the lyrics... if u read the lyrics rite, it can actually be sung anytime any day lor... n i actually did sing it once during the morning meeting on Sunday... some1 chose tht song to sing... nice... haih, i'm just an emotional kid lah... a happily emotional kid... i think 2009 is gonna end with a good bang...

its mid of December... Xmas is coming soon... haihhh... celebrated my sister's b'day yesterday... from a massive 16th B'day plan 6 weeks ago, to something so low key but even more fun... it was just the cousins n 1 of her frens lah... went to makan n as usual lah, talk childhood stories... everytime bring up the same stories, everytime laugh like shit... nvr gets old... all of us actually really a little bit sot wan lor... even the camera man n all said tht we damn nuts... he told my cousin who just got married, yr family n all very crazy lah... the 1 from Melaka n the 1 from KL wan...

of course lah... all these is 15-20 years worth of childhood wehhh... with all the TMNT, CyberCop, Ultraman... each of us got a specific story, sometimes a few oso, tht sticks to us lor... 1 of my stories is of course my nickname lah, BOM... hahaha... oh well, its all good... anyways, so 2day went for lunch with them too... tht was good... got a few new additions to the group oso lah... my cousin's new hubby, another 2 cousins got gf n bf alredy... now my bro oso got gf alredy... 4 new additions man...

so my cousin's wedding is over... i mean, all the fun n stuff has end'd lah... here's a brief recap... on Thursday we were rehearsing at the hall, running thru everything... met my other 2 best men who were the groom's cousins... nice fellas... then on Friday nothing lah... hangout with Eric n my family... my bro came back in the morning...

now the big day... Saturday morning the groom's cousin came to pick me up n we went to the groom's hse for some photo snapping n get ready lah... i have to say, we all look so freaking yeng lah... the color combination was nice... anyways... so after tht we bertolak to the bride's hse... every1 was there alredy lah... family n relatives n frens... of course had to do the games lah... but nothing crazy lah... just some yoga or pilates poses thts all... well, it was hard enough... n i had to do so many of the poses... i keng ma... - -* sparkle

anyways, after tht was the tea ceremony n all lah... of course tht 1 best lah... damn funny... had tonnes of fun lah... after tht, went to the church hall where the ceremony was conduct'd... i went on stage to read 2 verses from the Bible... n i stutter'd... emo... - -' aihhh, paiseh paiseh... but it was still all good i think... no biggy... i must say, my cousin has a fair few pretty frens... but too bad i'm only 20... emo... then tht was it for the afternoon... went home to take a nap b4 the dinner...

during the dinner syok lah... my uncle really damn funny lah... on stage giving his speech... apparently his tag line is "u say it best, when u say nothing at all..." cha tou... - -' laugh until i stomach ache lor... anyways... tht was it lah... just briefly pointing out lah... then the nxt day we travell'd to Kluang for another dinner... it was nice too... sat with my cousins n all, telling childhood stories which can nvr get old even tho each time we meet up for dinner we will bring it up... ahahaha... then the groom's dad gave some pretty good advice... 3 in fact... 1st is give n take... the wife will give the orders n the husband will take the orders... 2nd is communication... wife, just let the husband have the last say... n the last say will be "yes, wife..." ... 3rd is position... the husband is the general n the wife is the major bcos the husband will make the general decisions n the wife will make the major decisions... wahhh, i laugh until i die wehhh... - -'

so after a a week of intense newspaper reading, i come to notice tht a lot of stuff is happening with Malaysia... like in terms of business, experts (experts meaning FOREIGN experts) say the Malaysian economy is rising n will rise 4-5% in the coming year... tht is a good thing rite???... n oso investors r looking at KL, Penang, n Johor to set up the base n stuff... so thts good too rite???...

in the sports scene... ocay fine, i guess in terms of performance n all, we still kinda suck lah... i mean, the SEA Games, football, our men went down to Vietnam 3-1 n our girls went down to Thailand 14-0 n then Vietnam 8-0... - -' wat the hell rite???... tarak tau tendang bola wan lor they all... but in other sports, like the F1, we're making head waves... we have the F1 Lotus Racing Team which is a tremendous boost for the country in terms of being involved in a big sport... badminton n squash, i'm sorry, r just not as big as the other sports...

so yea, we have the F1 team coming up which ive mention'd b4 tht i'm thoroughly psych'd about it... woohoo!!!... sidetrack a bit but still staying with F1... rumours r tht Michael Schumacher is gonna come out of retirement n race for the Mercedes F1 Team... DIE lor!!!... a tru blu Ferrari driving for another car.... i cant even begin to imagine lah... its gonna be another Michael Jordan when he came back to join the Washington Wizards... ppl will only remember him in the Chicago Bulls n not the Wizards... of course lah, having said tht, Mercedes is a renown car brand n their engines have been excellent thru out the F1 sporting history (McLaren proves it)... plus its a German brand, so its only normal n rite if Schuey does join Mercedes... if tht does take place, well, then i'll widen my support lah to Ferrari, Mercedes n Lotus... i like Ferrari cos of Schuey n now Fernando Alonso (Spaniard ma... i like Spaniards cos of Rafa Benitez ma...)... i will like Mercedes cos they may gt Schuey n i like Schuey... i like Lotus cos its very Malaysian...

anyways, back to Malaysian sports... another tremendous thing tht took place is the PGA Tour (thts the golf events lah) is coming to Malaysia n we're the 1st Asian country to host it... it will take place at The Mines... now i wouldnt go n watch lah but if they do televise it, i may just watch it 5-10mins... i mean, c'mon, the biggest names in the sport mite be attending u noe... Tiger Woods (tho his a little taint'd alredy...), Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, n so forth... soon the tennis event will come lah... i think this is a good way to improve ourselves in the sporting scene lah... if the govt dowan to provide good facilities to our athletes for training, provide it for all these tours n visits n then out athletes can use them as well... n just think of the economic boost man... all these big names... think of the attraction...

of course, it'll be a while b4 we get to see Malaysia hosting a big ass event like Wimbledon or US Open or something else lah but small steps man, small steps... see, the F1 Sepang Circuit it highly regard'd as 1 of the toughest tracks in F1... which is tru, i've seen the tracks n how they have to race it... i love especially the long straights across the finish line which runs all the way to the 1st sharp turn... thts the place where most of the over-taking takes place n when u see them over take another car, wowww, so skillful n beautiful...

perhaps thts y i used to not call myself competitive... but i would say tht i like to argue... ocay lah, mayB not "like" lah but u noe, i would go all out to justify something if its worth justifying... i'm justifying as we speak (or type in this case)... which make sense don u think, wouldnt u justify something so tht there's clarification instead of ppl using it against u in the future... wouldnt u wan something to get all his/her facts straight b4 judging or commenting???...

as for being competitive, i do admit i get very hyped up lah... 3 reasons, 1- i'm winning n i wanna win again... its just like gambling, when u win u think u can win again n so u get excited... 2- i'm losing n so i wanna win back something... gambling applies again... 3- its just so fun tht u wanna play again... n the 3rd reason was the reason for last nite's Bang! session... it was fun... n c'mon, Natty keeps on 4getting the rules n ability even after playing it for so long... wouldnt u get frustrated n annoy'd too???... i mean, Mel, would u wanna go shopping with some1 who has no fashion sense at all???... even worse than me... u wouldnt rite... n even if u did, u wouldve freak out rite???... u all always say, "chill lah... its just a game..."... well i can say the same to u guy lah, "so wat if the movie doesnt stay tru to the book... chill lah, its just a movie..." or "its just a fictional character... y r u getting so hyped up bout it... chill lah..."

i really try my best to not get excited wan lor... mayB the way i convey my thoughts n stuff sounds competitive lah but i honestly don think i'm as competitive as u think i am lah (basketball is a diff story)... i honestly say the reason for my reactions n all r purely based on the fact tht the game isnt play'd the rite way n i wan the game to be play'd the rite way... ways the diff between u guys asking Eric about the rules n me telling u all the rules or how u can play the cards???... the answer is the same...

another thing about last nite, c'mon, Eric survived 7-8 rounds without any Bang! cards in hand... he kept drawing hearts!!!... how annoying is tht... i had so many cards in hand n still he survived longer than me... wouldnt u get piss'd as well...

so u see, i'm sorely mistaken for being a competitive person... mayB once in awhile yes lah but who doesnt... c'mon... c'mon... c'mon... ocay lah, don talk bout Monopoly lah... thts a whole diff story... hmmm, this last paragraph doesnt fit the 1st paragraph... 1st i was admitting tht i'm competitive but then now i'm saying tht i'm mistaken as competitive... hmmm...

i love the weekends...

u noe, ever since i start'd uni, i've nvr really appreciated the weekend much... i noe for some of u all, it means rest lah but my course rite, except for the last 2-3 weeks, every other week is like a rest week lor... so u noe, i don particularly appreciate it albeit i love it... of course, all tht has changed since i start'd work last Tuesday lah...

now i'm not saying tht my work is difficult or wat not, bcos its not... all i do is read newspaper n prolly read some files n thts it... but the fact tht i have to wake up 730 every morning n have to sleep early every nite (even tho i don) is really crappy... n thts y i enjoy the weekends more now, cos i don have to worry bout anything...

of course, the past weekend wasnt how i thought it'd be lah... but it was still awe-some... Friday nite, went to Eric's hse to watch WC draw... tht was awesome n exciting... stay'd at his place until 3ish somore... then the nxt day, had to wake up early for basketball... have certainly had better basketball days... nonetheless, the exercise still matters... then in the afternoon went to Subang Parade with Eric for a short while n then minum at SS15 oso for a short while again... after tht went shopping with my mum to get my wedding apparels... i spent over 500bux just in G2000 itself... but of course, tht was the only shop i shop'd from lah... the other barang barang must go Pyramid then only can... will hustle my mum for money... nyehehehe... CONVERSE, HERE I COME!!!...

after shopping, FY n i went out for awhile after which we end'd up in KG until 1... hahahaha... cha tou... but tht was good... took my mum's Cooper for a spin too... tht car is super powerful... side track awhile... the other day i realized something... at my hse now, currently, we have 4 cars... BMW 523i n 520d, Mini CooperS, n the Honda City lah... so i thought, wahhh, i damn rich n all lah... then i start'd thinking again... the BMW 523i was sold to my cousin alredy, we're just keeping it until he's free to collect it nxt week, the BMW 520d is a company car n Mini CooperS is a "rental" which BMW pays most of the fee while my mum pays the rest, n the City is ours lah... so basically we have 4 cars but TECHNICALLY we only own 1 car n thts the worst of the lot, the HONDA CITY... - -'

i told my parents n they start'd laughing... which is actually kinda hilarious too lah... ppl think we damn rich, got 4 cars lah, everytime tukar tukar lah, but in reality, we only own 1 car... HAHAHAHHA... anyways, back to the weekend... then came Sunday... as usual, in the morning i went for morning church meeting... then in the afternoon i went to my cousins' place for lunch... some family affair thing lah... met the other bestman who will be picking me up nxt weekend... oso got to drive my cousin's Civic ard the area... wahhh, damn smooth n power compared to my City... T.T so yea, stay'd there for 4hrs plus just chit-chatting... 1 of my uncle's fren came with his family n the fella's daughter, ocay ler, quite pretty, FY wouldve liked her legs (perve)... anyways, then at nite chill at home lah of course...

see, eventful weekend n i hope it'll be like tht for the nxt few weeks too... anyways, i'm at the office now... nothing much to do after the meeting i had earlier... waiting for time to past so tht i can go cut my hair later... surprisingly the sun has been out the whole day, since morning until now... hmmm... weird... oh well, thts good i spose... ocay, just now while reading the newspaper, i read this article by this woman who writes for The Star i spose... she's a KL-ite n she despises PJ... its a city against city kinda thing... like Sydney against Melbourne like tht... wahhh, the way she kutuk PJ ah... in short rite, she was calling us low class n living under a rock... i was piss'd man... altho my car is register'd under Kl but i've been living in PJ my entire life (i even support Selangor instead of KL in the M-League ocay!) n its awesome... less of those hustle n bustle, not westernised to the point of 4getting yr roots...

the very fact tht PJ can attain city-status even tho it was meant to accommodate the overspill of KL proves tht its rising n capable of wat KL is rite now... watever u KL ppl can offer, we PJ ppl can offer them as well... c'mon lah, the stupid writer is comparing KL, a city which was built over 50-60 years ago, to a city, PJ, which only began to grow in the last wat???... 20-30 years???... they got a 30-year head start for goodness sake... look at Subang itself... u don even have to leave the area n u can survive for the rest of yr life alredy... watever u need, u can get it... n 1 point she made was tht the roads in PJ is terrible... i don noe whether she has driven in KL b4 anot lah but c'mon, have u seen KL roads???... they're just as bad, if not worse, than wat u get in PJ lah... she claims KL is damn modern n all, their roads r just as mess'd up lah... she says she rarely goes to PJ n the 1 time she went, she got lost... duhhh, of course lah, u've nvr been there b4... i throw u in a suburb in Melbourne u think u noe anot???... makes no sense man... just bcos she got lost once, she claiming tht PJ has terrible road signs...

sorry if we don just cater to the rich n spoilt like KL does... we PJ-ans accommodate those who r less fortunate too... u Kl-ites live with so much fumes tht u cant even see the little things tht make PJ great...

World Cup 2010... my take...

alrite, so the other nite, Eric n i stay'd up to watch the draw for the Group stages of the 2010 World Cup... yes, its a big deal n thts y we watch'd it... now here's my verdict for each group...

Group A - South Africa (host nation), Mexico, Uruguay, France

for this group, the 2 tht will qualify, imo, is Mexico n France with Uruguay as the dark horse... i'm sorry South Africa, i noe u're the host n u really wanna make it for the nxt round but i think Mexico n Uruguay has more talent in their team n a fair few of their players play in Europe... i mean, France, disregard their qualifying methods, they're definitely the favourites in this group... they've got the stars, the talent, the quality, the skills, n the experience... Mexico is another nation with lots of World Cup experience n it will definitely aid them... all in all, this group is kinda difficult because of their level of football... quite a close group...

Group B - Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece

actually if Argentina was in another group, i would bet against them... if they're gonna play like how they play'd during the qualifying round, tak payah harap to make it pass the knock-out stage lah... but the other 3 teams, imo, don pose much of a threat to Argentina lah... i think the other qualifier will be Greece... Nigeria, will have a shot but, nahhh... don see much talent n skills compared to Greece... i'd like it if South Korea can qualify but its a long shot... overall, not a very entertaining group...

Group C - England, USA, Algeria, Slovenia

now this is the group i was damn excited for cos i support England ma... typical... so yea, big clash, England - USA... naturally u'd think England is the favourites, n ritely so cos they r but USA is dangerous... they r unpredictable... c'mon, they beat Spain 2-0 in the Confederation's Cup lah... so yea, i expect these 2 teams to qualify bcos i don see Algeria (1st timer), n Slovenia as much of a contender... they'll try their best certainly, but the quality just isnt there... somore this time England is under Capello, sooo, yea... Algeria n Slovenia just doesnt have the same power the other 2 have...

Group D - Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana

naturally u'd think Germany n Australia would qualify from this group... think again... Ghana has been on the rise in recent times n Serbia top'd their group during the qualifying round with France n Romania in the same group... alrite, having said tht, Germany n Australia still r the favourites to qualify from this group, i'm just saying Ghana n Serbia will pose a huge threat... Ghana has Essien n Serbia has Vidic... the edge tht Germany have is, pfttt, need i say more... they're Germany, c'mon, they'll qualify, they always do... the edge Australia have is tht majority of their team players play in Europe... n oso cos Australia take their sports very very seriously...

Group E - Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon

this is another toughy, imo... Denmark top'd their group again... Japan is Asia's best... Cameroon is the most successful African team in WC history... Netherlands, without a doubt will qualify bcos their game is super awesome n cos they have a team full of superstars... Denmark is a threat bcos, i said alredy lah... imo, Netherlands n Denmark will qualify with Japan as the dark horse... i just think Japan has a little more edge than Cameroon...

Group F - Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia

Italy got it easy man... they definitely got it easy... their biggest threat is prolly Paraguay n even so, Italy has way TOO much talent n quality... even tho they may not be as good in attack as they r at defense, Italy is a sound n compact team n Lippi brought the WC back to Italy in the last WC... Paraguay will be the 2nd team to qualify bcos they have the ability to do so... their qualifying was awesome, 2nd or 3rd, bhind Brazil... it'll be nice to see New Zealand but they wont pose anything at all... Slovakia will be kinda tough but not good enough, imo... Italy is just too strong... Forza Azzuri!!!

Group G - Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal

the Group of Death for the coming WC... Brazil, Ivory Coast, Portugal... these 3 teams will battle like shit... Brazil is a definite qualifier bcos they're unstoppable currently... too good... there's nothing i need to say... the 2nd team, however, will be a dog fite between Ivory Coast n Portugal n the decider will be the game against each other... n i think, Ivory Coast will just edge Portugal out 1-0... Portugal has talent n stars yes, but Ivory Coast has Dogba@Drogba... he's too good lah... plus Salomon Kalou somore... sound team... of course, Portugal will put up a valiant fite lah with Ronaldo, Deco, Simao... North Korea, unless they can use their nuke on the other teams, there's no way they'll even get a point or score a goal... sorry lah... for me, its Brazil n Ivory Coast...

Group F - Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile

the reigning European Champs, Spain, got it pretty easy too... even tho Brazil r playing good football, Spain is still the favourites... Spain is in excellent, n i mean excellent, best of the best form... the other 3 teams wont stand a chance at trying to make an upset... yea, tru, US upset Spain, but Spain will learn from tht... Honduras, u kidding me ah???... only Switzerland n Chile can have a shot lah... decider will be the game between them oso n i think Chile will win... Chile is just better than the Swizz... sorry... if u're not an Elite from Europe (England, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Netherlands), i would place my bets on u... the South Americans noe football... sorry...

Lotus F1 Racing Team... only for F1 fans to read...

i like the sound of it... altho Lotus is a British company, it has alot of ties with Proton n in this F1 team, there's alot of Malaysian elements in it... its sponsor by the a host of Malaysian entity including the govt n Air Asia... got all the 1 Malaysia campaign stuff to it as well... Tony Fernandez is the temporary Team Principal lah...

i'm gonna route for the all the way man, rite bhind Ferrari lah of course... i like Ferrari this year bcos they acquired Fernando Alonso... awe-some!!!... of course, Kimi left alredy lah n i appreciate wat he had done for the team lah (by winning the 2007 constructors' n drivers' title)... but after tht, over the last 2 seasons, he hasnt been performing lah n a change was necessary... bringing in Fernando Alonso, a world-class driver was an awesome move imo... Kimi is taking a year off from F1 n think it'll be good for him...

as for McLaren Mercedes, they've acquired Jenson Button's services... whether thts a wise move is yet to be determined but i think it can go wrongly cos the whole Alonso-Hamilton saga which took placed in the 2007 season (a strong factor to Kimi's victory) mite happen again... but then again, it mite not cos imo, Button isnt as good a drive as ppl perceived... but who am i to judge lah... we'll see...

anyways, back to the Lotus team... i really like the fact tht i can cheer for something Malaysian since Alex Yoong (who's stint in the F1 was less than avg) in 2001 or 2002... thing is, they're using Cosworth engine which i don think its tht good as compared to the top engines u noe... top engines meaning the Ferrari n Mercedes engines lah... BMW got good engines too but they withdrew their team from F1 alredy... lets hope they make a quick comeback... the Ferrari engines r without a doubt top-class lah really... n the Mercedes engine... well, Brawn GP, which is now Mercedes F1 Racing Team, used the Mercedes engine n won last season... n now with Mercedes buying over them, the team will have even more financial capabilities to improve n with Ross Brawn as their Team Principal, they're gonna be a strong force to be reckon'd with...

so yea, Cosworth engine... hmmm, well, its hard to say... they've had some decent displays b4 in the F1... like with the Jaguar Team (which left F1 in 2005 or 06)... but really, i'm hoping they can spring a surprise to every1 n be a dark horse of the season... important thing to do is secure good drivers... drivers who can determine problems when they drive... back when Michael Schumacher was racing for Ferrari, the 1 reason they manage to win 5 constructor's n driver's titles is bcos Schumacher was a pit crew member who serviced the cars b4 he became a racer... so whenever he drives the car, he can determine the problems quick n the crew can fix it during the pit stops or something... this is 1 thing most driver's don have u see... so yea, its vital tht the Lotus Team get 2 drivers who's competent lah... best is get 2 veterans 1st n 1 young test driver... or 1 veteran n 1 rookie...

my dad just got my mum's Mini Cooper 2day... so for the time being, until my cousin comes to collect the 5 series which he bought from my mother, i have 4 cars to drive... suddenly i feel so rich... but of course it wont last long lah cos in a couple or so weeks, my cousin will take the 5 series away...

speaking of 5 series, the new 2010 model looks freaking nice... they have up to 5.0 engine lor... damn keng man... n my dad will get to ride it... woohoo... but of course, the 2.3, 2.5 litre engine only lah... oh well, betta than nothing... but back to the Cooper... 2morrow nite must take it for a spin... definitely... we gotta go out 2morrow nite alrite ppl... i fetch... a few... the Cooper can ony fit 4 lah...
